The Osprey is the newsletter of the Southern Maryland Audubon Society and provides articles of interest to our members, including updates on bird resesarch, field trip reports, and a list of upcoming programs. We publish it monthly from September through June during our program year.
To minimize cost and paper usage, we are offering members the option to have the Osprey newsletter sent electronically. If you are a member and would like to discontinue the paper format in favor of an electronic one, please send an email to somdaudubon@yahoo.com.
Include your name and whether you would like either a notice that the newsletter is online and available for download or if you would like the newsletter emailed to you.
We welcome and encourage articles from our members and friends! Please tell us about your latest bird sightings, whether locally or on vacation, and other articles or updates of interest. The deadline for publication is the fifth of each month, August through May. Please send all documents, including photos, to the following address:
