Foster Parents Needed!
Southern Maryland Audubon Society sponsors the banding of nestling birds of prey, or raptors, as part of our research and conservation activities. These aluminum bands—and their unique numbers—allow us to track the birds if they are found again. The banding database is maintained by the U.S. Geological Survey’s Bird Banding Laboratory. After we band chicks with their “bling,” limited numbers of Osprey and Barn Owls become available for adoption. Your donation toward a raptor adoption contributes to a special fund for the support of raptor research and raptor conservation projects.
Your support helps provide:
- Barn Owl Nest Boxes
- Osprey Nesting Platforms
- Banding Supplies
Adopt your raptor online NOW using PayPal. You do not need a PayPal account to purchase. And you may adopt more than one!
