Sitting on a knoll overlooking Swanson Creek and the Patuxent River, Maxwell Hall Park is one of Southern Maryland’s best surviving examples of a typical 18th century four-over-four room house. This Charles County Park features 6 main trails, offering 14 miles of diverse hiking trails; open fields, wooded areas, steep terrain, shoreline, beach rest locations, and a trail course.
Parking: look for SMAS signage. Be sure to set your GPS for Maxwell Hall and not Maxwell Hall Park as it will take you too far from the picnic pavilion.)
