Leader: Lynne Wheeler
Come and enjoy a winter walk through the woods on a 1,200-feet-long boardwalk along the Potomac River. A great bird walk for families! We will also participate in the Great Backyard Bird Count, a global project where the world comes together for the love of birds. We will report our observations to help scientists better understand bird populations before one of their annual migrations. Expect to see many Bald Eagles and rafts of waterfowl, as well as winter birds in the wooded section.
Due to limited parking, we will meet at the Indian Head pavilion parking lot at 100 Walter Thomas Road, Indian Head, MD 20640. We will carpool and/or do drop offs to the boardwalk.
