WHOOPING CRANE CONSERVATION IN N. AMERICA

The presentation will cover the history of Whooping Crane conservation efforts from the early decades of the 20th century to the present.  Current reintroduction projects of a non-migratory flock in Louisiana and of a migratory flock of Whooping Cranes in the eastern part of the US will be discussed. Finally, we will look forward to the challenges of future conservation of Whooping Cranes. Enter through front doors at school. Follow sign to staff development room.
